Introducing the UNIV + Matuse Frogman wetsuit project. This collaboration is an extremely limited run of the most high-end technological wetsuits designed specifically for surfing.
The concept for the UNIV + Matuse Frogman wetsuit was to blend the aesthetic soul of early 80’s wetsuits and with the high-tech fit and functionality of today’s premium performance wetsuits. Both UNIV and Matuse are located in laid-back coastal San Diego and have long been supporters of each other’s brands. Matuse wetsuits are made from Yamamoto rubber, which is derived from 99.7% pure limestone. It is warmer (98% water impermeable) and lasts longer (titanium coated) than standard neoprene. It is also kinder to mother nature since it’s made from limestone and does not come from petroleum. Yamamoto’s Geoprene technology means thinner rubber is warmer rubber. It not only weighs less, it is also more flexible for better performance. The UNIV + Matuse Frogman wetsuits will be available at the UNIV Concept Shop in Encinitas Calif.
