San Diego is known for its beautiful weather, beaches, and burritos; which we can't deny. However, what doesn't get hyped up enough is the amount of quality skateparks within a 45 min span. Roughly 20+ within the greater area, all with surrounding local skate shops that allow for skate communities to be built on.
Within a 5 min drive from the UNIV shop, we've been blessed with a fairly new and updated skatepark called Encinitas Skate Plaza AKA POODS park. A weekly meetup for the team here, along with many friends in SD. Here is yet another "iPhone edit" of us trying to keep legs fresh.
In addition, with the utmost privilege of having such amazing skate parks and facilities to skate at, it's recently come to our attention that some of the guys here on the block are taking part of a super rad project called FREEDOM SKATEPARK YOUTH CENTRE.
"Alongside the planned skatepark in Kingston we shall build a youth-led, multi-purpose platform for creative events and entrepreneurship"
